What Software I Use

April 12, 2018

What Software I Use BannerDropbox, Zenfolio, Adobe CC, and Blog Stomp are great software programs to invest in as a photographer or blogger. They provide the basics that you need as you are starting your photography business.

When it comes to my business, I strive to keep everything as simple as I possible. This allows for my everyday "work chores" to be much easier (and cheaper which is ALWAYS a perk that trickles down to my clients). If I could go back and give myself one bit of advice, it would have been to invest in these programs from the start. It would have saved me so many hours of slaving away behind my computer. With these few useful programs, I am able to get my work done in half the time!

Adobe CC

Adobe Creative Cloud is an AMAZING resource for photographers! For one low monthly price, you have access to both Photoshop and Lightroom as well as future access to their newest versions as soon as they are released. (This is SO much cheaper than buying each new version.)

Zenfolio

At the beginning of the year, I switched my web hosting to Zenfolio and I am absolutely in love with it! It allows me to keep everything in one spot instead of having to use other websites. Additionally, Zenfolio almost ALWAYS has a discount for their plans!

Blog Stomp

Blog Stomp has saved me so much time these past few months. This software allows me to create collages, rename each image, and sharpen images in less than a minute! Yes, you can do that in Photoshop, BUT Blog Stomp is so much faster. (You can get access to Blog Stomp for an easy to make, one-time low payment.)

Dropbox

I use Dropbox to store and backup images from weddings and portrait sessions. You can never be too careful when ensuring the security of your images.
